Intuita Corporate Innovation Profile   by Arupa Tesolin, 1997

The Intuita program is a skill development program focusing on the use of intuitive and innovation skills processes.  Presumably one of the organizational consequences that may follow a critical mass adoption of this skill base is an increase in innovation. 

 

Innovation reflects an organization's willingness to engage in and support new ideas, novelty, experimentation, and creative processes that may result in new products, services, or technological processes.  Innovation is difficult to measure and a conclusive survey instrument is non-existant.  This occurs because innovation is a complex of attitudes, behaviors, product orientation, and organization determination.  As such many of the factors that we believe influence innovation in an organization are derived from the particular organizational culture, the drivers of innovation in the industry, and the need to adapt new technology and competitor pressures in an emerging global marketplace.

 

The Corporate Innovation Profile (attached) is designed as the survey instrument to establish measurable innovation indicators and enable a review of these indicators over time. The profile includes both organizational performance indicators as well as questions identifying various organizational culture and attitudinal traits that correlate with innovation.  An additional goal of this survey instrument is to develop a reliable, valid, and valuable measurement tool easily administered by researchers and organizational behavior specialists.

 

The time you invest in this survey will assist you in identifying specific innovation changes in your company over an established time period  (ie. 6 mths, 1 year) and will enable you to compare your results with other organizations who will participate in the study.  Aside from measuring specific changes, the study will likely generate valuable feedback for you and your employees.
